ATV
The ATV is a customized machine for meandering in the forest. It makes it possible to travel safely and discover splendid landscapes for many kilometers. Excursions of 2 hours, half-day or full day are available. A guide always goes along with the group.
Observation of bears and beavers
Accompanied by a trapper, you will discover the beaver's natural habitat (hut, dam, gnawed trees, etc.) and its way of life, while learning the operations and techniques of animal fur trapping in Quebec. Later, you may perhaps observe a black bear feeding, and at the same time, learn how Quebec's big game live.
The seaplane
A flight aboard the seaplane allows you to see that Quebec is a vast and splendid territory. The 20-minute flight above the Mastigouche wildlife preserve will be an unforgettable experience for you. Five-passenger planes are available.
Helicopter
Helicopter tours are possible upon availability. It will allow you to discover places that can only be accessed with this plane. Four passengers per flight.
Fishing
Red trout or small-mouth bass fishing is practiced on Lake Canitchez. We provide the boat, electric motor, fishing equipment and an access licence. Baits are also provided, free of charge. A fishing permit is mandatory and can be bought on site, 24 hours prior.
Motorized boat
Discover the majestic Sacacomie lake. Easy to use and perfect for the occasion, the boat lets you discover the lake's 42km circumference. Five people maximum per boat and a safety jacket is mandatory. 1 hour, half-day or full day excursions are available.
Pedal-boat-Kayak-canoe
These three activities are practiced on Lake Sacacomie and are free of charge. The equipments are available at the beach, without reservation. Safety jackets are mandatory. A beach-attendant is on duty from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Rabaska canoeing
Discover the magnificent Lake Sacacomie aboard a canoe of 8 meters in length, accompanied by a guide. During a stop on the shores of the lake, why not have a taste of a traditionnal herbal tea, prepared by your guide?
Visit the home of our sled dogs
Discover the way of the life of the sled dogs used in Canada. You can also visit the kettle, where puppies are waiting to be hugged...
Horseback Riding
Horse rides for one hour, two hours and even more if you wish. This could be a wonderful way to discover the magnificent wooded trails.
Visit a teepee
Half-day activity including a walk in the trails, rabaska on the lake, visit of a teepee, native storytelling, observation of the fauna, flora and a beaver dam, tasting of wild game meat.
Hiking
Hiking excursions in the magnificent wooded trails surrounding "La maison du lac".
Picnic Lunch Box
You can order a picnic by making a reservation the day before at the dining room.
